You surely must understand that many people aren't immersed in the spiritual world and that your words, although eloquently put, are to them, just nonsensical gibberish. It is of concern to more than a few that Islam is being brought further to the forefront with demands for reverence from all and sundry. It seems that only Muslims have the entitlement to be offended to the extent of wishing 'execution' on those who find their barbaric teachings offensive.

You'd think the gods would just smite the blasphemers themselves instead of relying on everyone else.

Dream on, but at the end of life, there's just what there was before you were born; nothing.

@qetoun Only in embryonic form for a short while before seeing the light of day.

@qetoun I believe it is indeed how human life begins or is my knowledge of reproduction incorrect? Of course, if you're referring to a delusional belief of human consciousness outside the body or prior to physical existence, then we're not on the same page.

@qetoun There's actually quite a few explanations for the delusions experienced by those who are very ill or otherwise traumatised. A Special Air Services soldier who walked a couple of hundred miles out of a desert in Iraq after a disasterous failed operation, said that at one stage, he was convinced his young daughter was walking alongside him. Lack of sleep, water, food, stress, fear, fatigue. All logical explanations. My dreams would make your hair stand on end!

I was trying to think of the word "hallucinations" but couldn't bring it to mind. Yes, it's true there are circumstances where there seems no logical answer, and of course, that's where people reach out and insert their own conclusions based on spiritualism. People should consider, though, that it was only within the last couple of centuries that people had an understanding of bacteria or the electromagnetic spectrum and countless other things the presence of which were rationalised by mysticism or the occult. There's no magic in our interaction.
