I share your pain with bureaucracy. I live in Australia and, against better judgement, decided to register with a government digital ID. Unfortunately, I mis-spelled my first name. I wasn't able to correct it myself and attempts to make contact with the department on line directed me to a phone number which led me to a recorded voice message advising that they weren't taking phone calls and referred me back to their website. I should, however, point out that it's not 'Red tape' that murdered those little girls. We all know what it is, and it has a name.
