So, they've voted for more of the same. Interesting. They must all be very happy. I live in Australia, and we have compulsory (for all eligible permanent residents) and preferential voting. I don't know if it makes a whole lot of difference because it always boils down to two options for government, each of which is exactly the same. We're voting for people we don't know with unknown qualifications or capacity to fulfil their obligations. In the 'real world' they wouldn't even get an interview.

@donna25871 Have you ever done any research on political candidates? I have, and I can tell you that they often don't reveal much about themselves that's worth much. Either way, they tow their own political party line. I communicate with local MP's (State and Federal) and other party leaders on a number of issues. If I'm privileged to receive a response, it reads like it's been regurgitated by a robot, often answering questions I haven't asked. Their incompetency, duplicity, and borderline criminality was adequately revealed a couple of years ago.
