  1. I would normally define "controversy" as being something that's unorthodox and contrary to normally acceptable standards. I'm struggling to see what exactly is controversial about what Nigel Farage says. When one examines the current standards and behaviour of those 'at the wheel' or those marching in the streets, I would say, that's "controversial".
