  1. When I was eighteen (1968), I applied for a job as a 'Quantity Surveyor'. When they asked me what specifically interested me in becoming a Quantity Surveyor, I gave them some reasons to which they responded by asking if I actually knew what a Quantity Surveyor was, to which I replied "No".
