  1. EV's (for many people) are simply "external" combustion engines. Unless they're being charged by wind, solar or nuclear, there's some great big coal fired power plant providing the electricity for them to run. I think electric vehicles are a great option for some people. They have a lot to like, but to try and push them on people with the option of "If you can't afford one, catch the bus" in the name of saving the planet is fundamentally flawed.
