I would agree that much more needs to be done in controlling protests. I would definitely agree that the 'Free Philistines' mob are way out of control. With that in mind, you have to be very careful in introducing or administering processes that can compromise one's civil rights in other areas (i.e., be careful what you wish for). The other point is considering whether the police in their traditional capacity of crime prevention are suitable for civil disobedience to this extent. I must admit to being stumped as a solution befitting a civilised and democratic society that doesn't generally consider brutal but well-meaning riot squads or temporary internment camps for antisemeticanarchistic behaviour. That wouldn't be right, would it?
