  1. This has been going on for decades. Our family were stationed at RAF Coltishall in Norfolk in the mid-sixties when they had English Electric Lightnings. They had QRA there although considering the location I don't know if they were regularly 'scrambled' to intercept Soviet bombers from there. They certainly practiced it often enough. Fantastic to watch.
