  1. I've probably always been a bit guarded of statistics from government or media sources and it was one of the first things that crossed my mind when the local statistics were being released. I live in Queensland, Australia and I was curious to know how they were identifying the cause of death so readily. After a while the state's Chief Health Officer was forced to admit that medical authorities were including anyone who had the virus in their body as the cause of death regardless of any other cause.

  2. I raised five children; two of which were from my wife's previous marriage. As a result of the number and other circumstances, I was always failing them in a financial sense. At some point or other, just having a roof over our head and food on the table was all I could give them. I couldn't imagine not being a father. Given the time over again, I'd make damn sure I'd do a better job.

  3. I remember my mother telling me about the time (when I was about four years old) and a little girl around the same age, hit me. My mother said she watched as the little girl hit me once and I did nothing. She hit me again and I did nothing. She hit me a third time and I hit her back. Naturally she ran off crying. I wonder if it's a natural 'thing' for boys and men. Oddly enough, I'm seventy two now; married with five (grown up) children and I've always found women reluctant to voluntarily converse with me. I don't believe I have any obvious threatening demeanour and definitely don't have a 'history' (as far as women are concerned) of any sort.
