I remember my mother telling me about the time (when I was about four years old) and a little girl around the same age, hit me. My mother said she watched as the little girl hit me once and I did nothing. She hit me again and I did nothing. She hit me a third time and I hit her back. Naturally she ran off crying. I wonder if it's a natural 'thing' for boys and men. Oddly enough, I'm seventy two now; married with five (grown up) children and I've always found women reluctant to voluntarily converse with me. I don't believe I have any obvious threatening demeanour and definitely don't have a 'history' (as far as women are concerned) of any sort.
