I love how you can walk around recording people (including children) and places without being accused of being a terrorist, a paedophile or requiring personal permission from the paranoid.

It was interesting to see the price of wines, including imported wines which sit around A$6 or A$7 Australian dollars (correct me if I'm wrong). I used a bottle of local wine in the rural town of Mudgee in New South Wales at a Motor Inn (mini-Bar) and it was $40. It's fair enough that they tend to cost it bit more in hotels and motor inns, but I get the feeling they're slapping on even more excise on alcohol to fix their disastrous environmental policy.

When I watch your videos I can't help but notice how everything is so identifiable with exactly what I experience (I live north of Brisbane) or anyone else who may live around any other major city around the world. It makes you wonder why there's this perceived friction between us all.

@NicolasValentinScotland How does that work exactly. These are just recordings which include kids just doing everyday things in public that everyone can see when they step out of the house. It's a sick mind which thinks otherwise.

@Прекрасныйнезнакомец-п7ю 4 bags of groceries in Australia would likely cost closer to $200. Obviously depends what you buy. Fresh produce items, like fruit and vegetables (in our state) are not subject to goods and services tax (10%) so a bit cheaper.

It's the first time I've looked at your channel and I'm not sure if I was surprised to hear an Australian accent or not. It's interesting to see some of the signage written in English. I live just north of Brisbane and there's a very large shopping centre mid way, which always seems much busier than that. I suppose finances are tighter in Moscow?

@TravellingwithRussell There's probably nowhere near that many. To be honest I only generally go to the one locally and it's not that big. I drove from Sydney to Perth and back in 1976 and set a new WA skydiving record. Didn't see one mall 😉

@hellopossum163 That's on top of the tax you've already paid on the income you've earned. It's an interesting exercise to look at say $100 you earn then look at the tax which comes out of that, then the tax that comes from purchases and see how much actually remains.

I live in Brisbane and for a 'bare bones' apartment (no furniture, TV, fridge, washing machine, etc,) you'd probably be paying double that price for something a bit bigger, so it's good economical living for one or two people who don't need a lot of space. Was there somewhere to hang washing?

So much stuff but seemingly very few people. The guy running the coffee kiosk had one elderly customer.

It's interesting how in places like the UK and the USA people go "ape shit" when they see someone with a camera, yet in Russia, not only do people not mind it, but actually encourage it. So, where's all these bad Russians and enemies of freedom we keep hearing about?
