Why is it 2 have 2 different bolts? When I buy a box of bolts the thread count is the same. Yet you show a coarse bolt with 16 threads and compare it to a bolt that is a fine thread with 24. <The acid wash really did some damage.> you are confusing the issue...and test. In the test you do not use motor oil which is in the oil can that I refill. Brake fluid is less available than auto transmission fluid or engine oil (2 stroke or 4 stroke). Then again I may have diesel or kerosene around to use as a lubricating liquid. My mom uses cooking oil...because that is what she commonly has available in the kitchen to lube hinges or electric analog clocks that make noise. Yes it attracts flies that go inside to feed on the oil and they become part of the Lube. 120Volt Clock still works after 66 years and not lose a second. I am not going to go out and buy a lube when something else will do. I suspect the best anti rust ones have silicone in them. . strange you don't have snake oil..
