  1. Stud finder behind drywall can be done with a hammer and listening to the wall tone. How do these machines compare when trying to find behind plastered walls? Lathe, 1/2" concrete+ 1/2" plaster ( like done in older 40's style homes.?) Most reno's are done on older homes of the plastered generation.
