  1. A Tariff is a TAX on a countries goods "sold in your country"(meaning the U.S. people will pay that higher amount that is on U.S. shelves in U.S. stores if you want that stuff. If it is made in China,& the guts inside of many Japanese electric tools is stuff made in China(the trade tariff between Japan & China has a different lower tariff if any at all), But the U.S. consumer has to pay 125% more. Of course, China cannot sell as much to the U.S. as the demand is lower.
