  1.  @CarrieGerenScogginsOfficial  As Egypt had more than one god, you had to pray to the right one.. I guess that did not happen. The Egyptians tried the monotheism 525-1504 B.C. during the reign of Amenhotep. His god was the sun disc Aman,(the sun god Ra) There was no other. Amenhotep believed he saw God on Earth(as all Pharaohs did. But because he forced the people to worship only one God, the priest were losing out on $$ as they sold religious icons to the people (it was a racket) So his reign was 20 years which is about the average lifespan of a Pharaoh(cold be longer or shorter) King Tutankhaman was the son or Amenhotep so he was on the throne early. The priests convinced him to bring back the old gods which he did. He also changed his name to Tutankhamen. This brought the selling of Gods back to the priests so they made money again. The dual name is on his chair in the museum, The priests were trying to erase that time of Amenhotep(King Tut's father) but they didn't. The capital city which was moved to Amana was moved back to Thebes. It was for the benefit of the priests in financial wealth that they chose many gods. Amenhotep saw this happening as a young lad and vowed to change it when he became ruler. It was a 20 year departure from polytheism. I wonder why there was no mention of Amenhotep.? . To the Egyptians they were as real as a burning bush. There were more gods when you look at different ancient cultures of the time. so the Jewish god was NOBODY SPECIAL. The 10 plagues have been explained away using SCIENCE.
