  2.  @joshportie  Men...They would preen their beards to keep the lice count low. Egyptians cut all their hair off because of the lice. They like hot and dry desert regions. That is my GUESS. I specifically point out that the men could grow beards, whereas the Spartans were just boys / no time to preen their stubble.
