  1. Since the beginning of AUTOMATION, jobs will disappear as a machine replaces the worker. In Japan, most of the factory is automated making better longer lasting cars. The workers are doing other jobs that machines can't do. So that means the dude that loads the cars onto tractor trailers - he will have a job after the assemblers are replaced with a machine. It is happening in all factories because machines can work 24/7/365....their wage is a squirt of oil. . You can't blame the immigrants for the loss of your work when the immigrants are also facing the same problem. Machines are doing the farm work they used to do because they are cheaper after several years(as the machines are costly) but the farmer figures out the cost of workers(which are under paid) - they eventually go with a machine that can (pick tree fruit 7 times faster than an immigrant picker and the fruit is less damaged so the farmer gets a higher price for it and it don't need sorting as that has already been done by machine eye...and handled carefully so no bruising happens. Farmers may get together and purchase one machine to do 10 orchards...of a thousand trees each.(as now the fruit trees are planted closer together and pruned differently. Farmers are greedy and cheap. They have to be because they are not the final handler of the fruit. There is transportation to a middleman who takes a big cut out of the pie, then the storekeepers who also need to make some money off the fruit before it gets to your table. . So the immigrants know of the battle against the machines. You ain't gonna be working at the same factory your daddy did.
