  1. You build a custom beetle BUT YOU USE THE OLD FLAT WINDSHIELD? VW Superbeetle changed to the curved windshield in 1973. Yes, there were 2 versions by the windshield and general streamlining of the design so the car handled better at faster speeds. HOW did you OVERLOOK that improvement? I drove both and the 1973 shape was superior(considering you are cheating using a fiberglass body. They also had better suspension with MacPherson struts over Torsion bar suspension. Using Radial tires also improved it in take-off wheelies. It feels different.
