I CAN speak for the East Germans. I have family there. They have been treated like a ghetto nation. My Mom who is still alive @90 speaks German so half the family is in west Germany and live to U.S. standards....those in the East(which is half the family) are "poor pigs" That, and their language is different (after 70 years). It is very basic German. Yes the wall came down but they still are separate...so have no hope of joining up with West Germany.
