Plants need certain nutrients to survive(Nitrogen, potassium, (maybe iron) phosphate, maybe calcium depending on plant, water) It does not need gold, aluminum, platinum, tin, salt, magnesium, manganese, cobalt, crude oil. Certain elements it wants and the rest will stay in the ground. The plant is THAT selective. If the soil does not have the right elements, then the soil will produce NOTHING. Uranium & its cousin radium is fairly common in the ground everywhere. So is gold (but the amount is so small that we have not figured a way to extract it economically. Same goes for radium which is radioactive and uranium ( but we are talking micro amounts). We have lived here all our lives and average age of dying is about 90 years.

The use of U238 is replacing the lead in bullets. Where does that lead go into. Into the side of a vehicle from a gun or cannon. That is where it stays. It is not spread around like fertilizer or manure. Which means it is stuck into other metal object.

Canada grows grain crops, so they have these "windbreaks" so that the topsoil does not blow away. Usually this is quick growing brushland as it is green most of the year with leaves. . Canada's wildfires are in coniferous forests(pine, spruce, fir, balsam which are the Christmas tree type because they hold onto their needles through the winter snow. The windbreaks are leafy trees that drop their leaves in the autumn. You will note that none of the bombing has started any fires because a green tree is a wet tree.
