I still have VHS...& used the 5 1/4" floppy disc(the ones in the cardboard sleeve)640Kb>or 512??< They wrote entire programs on that one floppy and you could also store your work on the same floppy disk. Programming was a tighter language back then. Sure just word processing programs but hey, to me the computer was a glorified typewriter...that no one person could afford being a UNIVAX(back in '75)@$10K. Heck, I even used punch card readers. Never got as old as Reel to Reel tape readers.(that was before my time of engagement with computers) Microsoft did not exist yet. My PC still does take 3 1/3" floppy disks and I have burnt out one HDD. as I did hear this rattle come from the PC that sounded like something that was spinning real fast come off its pivot point...kind of like when a car loses a metal hub cap while they are travelling down a highway and hit a pot hole. Oh well, 15 years is a good life I guess. I have known SSD's to die in 2 years. This guy was more into "SELLING A PRODUCT" SSD's will have a short life as they are learning how to write code on the molecular level. Meaning SSD's will have a small window before they are outdated. I was hoping you would take an SSD apart so I don't have to.
