  2. Most of the residents got out of Bakhmut safely. 3000 chose to stay and fight along side the military. Russia lost 90k men taking the village of Bakhmut, For some reason Putin wanted the farming community. It is probably sitting on a probable oil deposit as Putin is into "oil &natural gas"(that is just a guess) Putin is guessing too...but seems logical. , Ukraine, had it tapped into the oil reserves would be a nation in COMPETITION with Russia. German industry relies on Russian natural gas as they are the SOLE supplier. If Ukraine is sitting on the MOTHERLODE, then it could offer gas or oil to Germany at the same or even a reduced price. Right now they farm the land so the plows don't go down that deep. Not every country that has oil wants to develop it. As it takes $billions to do that. The "people of the SAND" has lots of it. . It is land that BELONGS TO UKRAINE. Period. They are the ones that choose to(or not to) develop it. Maybe they are happy farming the land to do their part to feed the world. Not everyone is greedy about money.

  11. Does not matter. It will be Ukrainian pilots in those planes(so first they got to learn how to read and speak English, then it takes 6 months of TRAINING how to fly those planes. The US cannot get involved, nor NATO. Russia has been preparing since 2014 when they took Crimea. Ukraine was gonna let them have that, but they got greedy and want all of Ukraine. So Ukraine said "FU". The guy in Moscow is "NUTS", he has to trick his own people to fight Ukraine. I have been watching the 1920 news reports and most Russians in Moscow do not care about Ukraine or what they do(chances are they have relatives that live there)

Makes me remember back to the day not so long ago where Russian Officers went into a Ukrainian bar in the "liberated Ukraine" (that is how they were still thinking) and ordered up drinks to celebrate. (now it is not normal for a bar to carry poisonous liquids(but the Ukrainian bar managed it and poisoned those officers with a Russian HIGHBALL. One died instantly and the 3 others before they reached the door.(again "not paying customers") Mental note was made on the most effective poison to use and should be relayed to other like businesses in different towns so all know [test was a success]."Just in Case"

  21. Those tunnels are huge. 3 tanks wide at least can drive in them. Not enough explosives available. Besides, it looks like a trap. Would make a good meeting hall for say 1000+ R soldiers and all their ammo...and pepper the tunnel with Himars. Unfortunately, R is not so stupid to do the group gathering again.

  32. Taking out men is fighting Soviet style. Take out aircraft on airstrips or ammo dumps or supply shipments of anything is way better use of that resource. When they got no ammo or planes that can fly what army is there? The advancing soldiers CAN RETREAT cuz nobody can shoot them in the back. It will be a tussle between those at the front and don't want to be there, and the chickens ORDERING THEM TO THE FRONT for no good reason. Hilarity ensues...as they fight themselves.   35. I may be wrong but I don't believe the Germans made that kind of blunder. I do believe that they had the capability to destroy a fortification and turn it into a pile of rubble. But they did not do that becuz a fortification is a fortification. Any side can make use of it. For the Orcs it was level it to the ground and then we attack.(and claim the loose brickwork as our own.) There is no thinking, then what do we do? Especially with winter now showing up as snow. Here is hoping they NEVER LEARN.

  40. If you paid attention to ANY battle, it moves forward in "surges". The Middle east war has been going 57 years and it has done the surge-thing from both ways. (Using different techniques(because the former technique did not work or did work but the other side figured out what was happening so applied corrective measures to STOP IT. If you watch old cowboy-Indian westerns no war is done in 1 day. It never happened that fast. If Putin wants the war to end....then get the eff out of Ukraine and back to the 1991 border. All Russians get out. Battle is over. NATO is NOT in Ukraine, If they were this battle would have been finished in 3 months if not sooner.

  41. NO COUNTRY gets into NATO when that country is fighting an active battle. The country CANNOT be actively participating in a battle(becuz that would draw NATO into it) Also corruption must be cleared out of the country. This is why normally it takes YEARS to meet those objectives. Sweden & Finland were 2 independent countries (neither NATO or WARSAW)members Finland got in faster than Sweden as a NATO member had an issue with Sweden(it only takes 1 to throw a wrench into becoming a member. Once that was cleared up Sweden could join. There is "no fast track" to membership. Ukraine is going to have to fight this war themselves. NATO found a loophole in the mandate, that ALLOWS them to supply Ukraine with AMMO. Every country is pitching in even "non" NATO Australia & New Zealand. It may not be a lot but several F18's & F16Fighting Falcons is better than nothing. They also supplied Ukraine with "Bushmaster" jeep type trucks & Instructors & Medical equipment. . Besides the Russians, U.S. has been the biggest supplier. Sure the bombs are past their "due date...as they are 30-35 years old. The U.S. is developing a replacement for these old bombs called PRSM so their old bombs would have to be disposed of, and that costs money UNLESS they are disposed of in a battle aka Russia. The GLDRM(something like that)are slowly being given to the Ukrainians(for now short range so they cannot reach Moscow) because the guy behind the table will not accuse the U.S. or NATO or get riled up enough to go NUCLEAR. Their nukes can reach U.S. mainland. Yes so can the nukes the U.S. has reach Russia...but really who has more to lose...the wilderness of Russia or NYC or Washington, D.C.? Becuz of the MADD agreement, nukes will remain off the table. Mutually Assured Destruction Deterrent. Only someone Crazy would use it. . You don't pick a fight against someone who is as deadly as you are.

  46. That is not a fortress...it is a pile of dirt called overburden as they are digging down and mining for coal. They have been digging for years and taking out by the dump-truck load. The dirt has to go somewhere so it is right beside the hole in the ground that a dumptruck can drive into to be filled again. So basically it is a mountain. Some seams of coal are hundreds of feet deep.
