In other words Britain could not save Britain. It needed its colonies (Canada, India, Pakistan, etc and was egging the U.S. to enter the European war , which AFA the U.S. was concerned was a European war and it did not want to get involved. That is why it separated. Keep your tea. We drink BEER.

He also knew that water border(English Channel) would be a bear to cross. Planes did not have enough fuel to spend time once over, so they went over and guessed where they were in the fog and many times a farmers field got bombed...or some minor town...and the planes had to come back with no dog fights.

@the_tactician9858 Lee Naylor The point is the MAIN GERMAN FORCE WAS ON THE EASTERN FRONT because that was the real battle. Hitler already proved he could take out France. Hitler did not want to battle Britain, or he would have built a navy. He wanted to co-rule Europe with Britain. War leads to destruction of castles in Germany and in Britain. Hitler offered 4 times, Churchill wanted to fight instead.Hitler saw Britain as the other Aryan race. Nobody trusted Stalin, not Hitler.

Historical accuracy be damned. Hollywood could not sell a film if it was all historically accurate. Close is good. England was full of itself. Books describing "Middle Earth" or "Midgard" was where England was. There were the Northern horde of attackers(the Norsemen) and also the Southern horde(or the Muslims). Only Middle Earth was civilized. So their view of the world was very biased. So their accounts of who the Norsemen were is totally off. Google "days of the week" name origins and you will find it is all from the Vikings. . Norse were not illiterate but deciphering RUNES is a guess at best.

You should not use the Spanish Conquistadors winning over the Aztecs as an example. The Spanish also brought disease, something that the Aztecs could not fight. -- As for Sparta...they were not very visionary. Instead of killing all the imperfect babies, they could have put them in the other selective groups. Meaning those kids who came out Green was not killed off, but later may prove themselves worthy by getting ANGRY...and HULK don't like to be angry. There would have been more reserves in food and other stuff (like Dentists) when the selected few got their face caved in. Maybe 30,000 could have been at Thermopolye instead of a paltry 300. Even goat herders or weapon-smiths could fight. or invent new advanced weapons like Bulldozers. or protect the pass. It seems the Spartans did not know their own ground very good or they would have prepared for the rear attack or blocked it off. Then again if shorty humpback was accepted into Spartan society, he never would have betrayed them. . Yeah, the Spartans were not all that smart. Xeres neither.

ROME is too political(a spider web) for my liking. Greeks cut through the B.S. More a party atmosphere. Simple 1 name names. Nobody was trying to horn in on the last leading warrior (except when they all claimed to be Spartacus) to protect Sparts. They did this in both Rome with many Caesars and in Egypt with many Ramses and Cleopatra's and other pharaohs. You get confused unless you keep score on paper.

I like the intro to the show. You could follow the story line most of the time. Viking writing was carved on stone in Runes. Translation is still not 100% certain.
