  2. I hate that politics have entered the Olympics (makes me think back to 1936 summer Olympics in Berlin when Jesse Owens beat the white skinned German runner. Did Hitler shake the hand of the winner(being he is black skinned)?[so much for GERMAN superiority as there was none] So, they went to war JUST TO PROVE THEY AIN'T SUPERIOR. . No, I am not 88 years old. I read history books & that happened then. I was hoping POLITICS would stay out of the Games.(as it should) The Ukrainian fencing team was in the wrong IMHO They won the gold medals, showing they are better than the Russians. Enuff said.

  3. In Venezuela, capitalism is worse. The oil companies wanted to come to that country and take its oil; free or pennies per barrel(I can't remember). Venezuela said NO. It is their resource and will remain in the ground as the country NATIONALIZED IT RESOURCES. Meaning oil companies have to pay more for it. So, oil companies blacklisted Venezuela, so that is why the economy is in shambles. But, it still has its oil. When it gets a fairer return on it will they allow foreign companies to come in and suck it dry. But that has not happened YET & the oil resources stay in the ground. . Do you realize that the U.S. does not own its oil(as they have not nationalized it. Some other countries have nationalized their oil resource(Canada) and oil companies pay more for it without complaint. STRANGE is it not? And THEY have socialist governments.
