Full Sanctions "except". There is that "EXCEPT" word. Which means find a way to get rid of the exception so it is a "FULL SANCTION without exceptions". Source the needed resource from elsewhere or do without.

I can't swim so yeah I would look for a different solution than jumping in. Like a long branch, or rope or life preserver or fishing rod with a hook and snag the little gaffer and pull it to shore. Better than having 2 deaths.

Then will come Russian Revolution 2.0

Those guys in the Ruzzian popper tanks will be warm on the coldest days - or hot, hot, hot! for an instant anyways.

"blocking supply chain" HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS WAR. That ship "the EverGiven" that blocked the canal for 10 days meant no other boats could go by. A gust of wind blew it off course and it became wedged in the canal. So, other ships that would also use the canal were waiting for the "blockage" to be cleared which took a long time. JUST A LUCKY PERIOD OF TIME I guess. The other ships waited, as to boat around South Africa meant additional fuel was required and it would take 7 days(they thought the blockage would be cleared before then; so they waited). They could not do anything else. . It is no different than a highway accident which takes out the entire "highway." You wait for the road to be cleared & repaired rather than take the long way around. Because such a blockage has never happened before. Price hikes happen because there is a shortage of stock as it is still inside a container somewhere in San Fran harbor.

Davos is a neutral country for any other war. The Swiss don't take sides (except in this unjustified attack against Ukraine) Holding the talks there was about as safe as it gets and near the center of action. What was the "substance" of the talks is what matters.

So, Z guy is involved in other businesses. It takes a business mind to run a country.

Not Every country was following the U.S. into Iraq. Only Britain did. Not the EU believed the story told by the U.S. media. The logic was not there. The U.S. attacked Iraq for its oil. Not for it goats, or the way the women were treated. . The U.S. knew what WMD Iraq had because the U.S. military sold it to Saddamn. Old WW1 cannisters of Mustard gas the military was going to destroy as they would have lost most of their potency...Saddamn offered $1Mil to buy them and the military sold him a half dozen containers. Saddamn took them to Iraq and released the gas within his own borders. The Kurds were in the mountains of Iraq and somewhat rebellious group of people. Using the gas was a way of inflicting harm to them without hurting Iraqi soldiers. All 6 MT cannisters were found. Saddamn had no knowledge on how to make the stuff. He just used it. This was his WMD(you never say you don't have any more) but just the threat of a WMD is enough to cool the heels of other aggressors. For other Arab leaders, it was scary enough so they got in line. .Time Life magazine had done the research and write up on the story. That is where I first read it. Time is published in the U.S. so I trusted the source.

I can't understand why Hydro electric is not a big portion of the energy production...there must be rivers that can be dammed to generate power.?

Did you want your supper cooked? Too bad. House heated? Too bad. Hot water ? too bad. Your job at the iron foundry is non existent. Refrigeration relies on nat. gas. to work. They punch back that hard.

The U.S. stuffed 100B into Iraq war and got sweet pss all for it. So far it has spent less than half of that in Ukraine, so hardly a noticeable difference in the economy that can't first be blamed on the virus which is still going strong, and the shortages due to the block up of the shipping in the canal for 10 days. Ships are now moving but the docks are LOADED FULL OF 100's of CONTAINERS THAT HAVE TO be taken to their destination cities and there is a shortage of truckers to take the loads now that the docks run 24/7 They will take months to get rid of the backlog of containers...as San Francisco bay is full of container ships...waiting to be unloaded. That is what is messing up the economy right now.
