  1. I thought Germany had its own coal. No oil. It was the first to make synthetic oils during WW2. to keep on fighting. Maybe they are relying on Russian coal cause it is cheaper.? Relying on 1 country for your natural gas is silly. Even the countries that have tons of natural gas, we are also extracting methane from rotting vegetable matter and adding it to the natural gas just to lessen the dependence on Natural gas from the ground and going the "bio fuel route" which is renewable. I thought Germany had mountains & rivers that could be dammed for hydroelectric power? Then also Geo thermal springs to extract energy from that? So many sources and yet they rely on oil from only Russia. I see the problem right away.
