It is cheaper tax wise and makes more money with little mainenance. In fact NO POLITICAL SYSTEM will protect historical homes. If "Developers" see a moneymaking potential, they will take the gamble. . The food you eat has always been measured. You want a 1/4 pounder, or 1/2 pounder, or 3/4 pounder hamberder? Small coke or medium Coke or large Coke? A can of beer, or a Kegger? Small, medium or large fries.? It has always been quantified...and charged accordingly. You can buy twice as much as you want. It costs twice as much. That is the free market Capitalist way.
