  1. Okay. I just finished voting (advanced ). The federal government mails me a voter registration card to my house(only people in my state can vote in the election specifically from my address.) ONE voter card. I bring that to where they do the advanced voting. And a piece of picture I.D. which is my Driver's License which I have had for years. They find me on the form and strike off my name(single line through it) and hand me a ballot with a number which they record by my name. I go and mark the ballot and fold it closed so the number is visible which they then tear off, and I put the folded ballot in the voting box. I am done and leave. NO NEED FOR SIGNATURE VERIFICATION. My picture Driver's License was signed and embossed (for those who do not drive they could go to city hall and get a personal I.D. card which shows their name and birth date and address.(basically like a D.L. without it being a D.L.) so they could go to night clubs and bars or vote.(picture I.D, req'd) . I found it strange that they had to sign and the signatures had to match.? Hell, none of my signatures are identical...nor are they required for voting. I choose who I want and put an X by that person with the pencil ELECTIONS PROVIDES and that is it. 10 minute wait in line for the advanced voting. It is simple. Why the U.S. has such a complex job for voting is beyond me. Photo I.D. simplifies the process. You sign nothing. Your voter card is mailed to you and you present that as your proof of being a legit voter. I only want to vote once and then forget it. . No possibility of "fraud" or double voting.
