  1. No wonder big pharma WANTS TO KEEP A LID ON IT. They make money every step of the way. First getting government grants(money from the people through taxes) to do the research and development, then once they find the drug(even if they don't they just get another grant)...once they find a drug, then they sell it off to a production company with the patent rights for more $$ for the R&D company to pocket (not paying back the grant money) and then the production company has a 10 year patent on the drug with probable kickbacks to the R&D people...that only they can manufacture.& price the heck out of the pill(taking money from individual taxpayers). That is a TAKE;TAKE;TAKE . Taxpayer do not benefit from this investment. . If I invest money into a company, I am expecting a RETURN on my investments. Not to get cut out of the deal. And yet this is what Big Pharma is doing. $84,000.00 for a pill that costs them nothing to make. (it was all paid for by the investors) I see Big Pharma as part of the swamp that should be drained.
