  1. Small grassroot donations translates to greater individual voter support. In AOC case if everyone gave $200.00 then she has 6000 people VOTING for her. The number of people will be higher because not everyone has $200., so there would be more people to make up the number to $1.2M.(lets guess 8000 VOTES) . Now,if her closest competitor took just corporate money, he may have 4 VOTES. Maybe the other contender has 8 VOTES because he takes PAC money. (in other words much less than AOC grass roots donations and VOTES IS THE ONLY THING THAT COUNTS AT THE BALLOT BOX. Corporations cannot buy YOUR vote. They get "put in their place" by the people that get voted in and work FOR the people.
