Only fair that Egyptian's go and dig up Stone Henge and see what is under it...I guess. Then keep the original stones.

Tut was a transitional king. The old king Akenaten was mostly erased from history. But with rock carvings everywhere that is impossible to do.100% Old King brought single god concept into being. Nefertiti was his wife. Much of the stuff was meant for Nefertiti as boys did not have holes in their earlobes. His Death Mask has holes in the Earlobes. His burial chamber was not that of a king as it was small and too low down, meaning a lower noble who had his box cut out already, so it was pilfered for a quick burial...before the seasonal rains flood the valley. Once buried and then flooded over, he was forgotten about.

Most of them rest in pieces. Bandages need changing time. How about we try "Spandex"?

And yet termites got inside? Good seal job mates. So they figure out the shape of stuff by the shape of termite schit? Sounds like a fun job. I would rather watch grass grow.

Got to learn to swim "sometime"

They are always working on restorations everywhere because there is so much.

They still have not fully unpacked since the initially discovery.

Egypt is a poor country so it did not have the best museum(just a warehouse) so it took them awhile to build something WORTHY to hold the artifacts in a large enough building. So it is in climate controlled environment to stop further degradation. Pieces are still being studied with the latest with modern non destructive methods. They have an Ultra sound scanner on site just for checking out pieces and other high tech equipment. NOW. The British were not the only people looking. Every nationality was looking except Egypt.(They have looked at it daily and there is TONS OF STUFF.) even after tons of stuff got legs and walked off. It was like, we got more. They used to use mummies as firewood. So many were found. Now they are trying to reclaim all the pieces they can find to put in their museum. Which will be hard to get from private collectors. Can't change the past. It costs big money to do this searching and keeping it in a better museum meant the U.K. or Germany or some other country. It seems the Egyptians did not care about their past...that much, because it is in their back yard. The study of Egyptology was started by Europeans.

What I find interesting is that the TERMITES did not get to it as it has for every other site.

Like Ramses II He reigned for 67 years . He lived till he was 92 so he buried many of his sons who died earlier. They are all buried in the biggest tomb to date.(I forgot the number of the tomb) Ramses II tomb was robbed by the guys who dug the tomb. or the priests of the time.

you won't be a tourist. You will be a slave. You will tire of that real fast.

You DO REALIZE THERE IS VALUE TO DIRT so they will take that too, right?

Probably because no one wanted to cut out a "Storage Room"? Or did they?

"Permit" I applied for and waited for 3 years to get approval. Not free. & restricts me on what I can do.

Nobody is allowed out at the dig sites as they are dangerous dark pits...and too much sand storms and floods and people have cheap GPS so get lost. The tomb is moved into a Billion$ building with A/C so all the people can see and the Pharaoh lives on 4 eternity. Except, now U pay to see him, so he is collecting money even when dead.(now THAT IS "POWER") The finds are stabilized and termites eradicated(as they don't give a poo who they eat)

Which Cleo? As there were 5 of them? Just as there was more than one Ramses(4) I think. Seems coming up with a name was the difficulty, so "lets use a popular old one". Mind you how we pronounce it in English is not how they pronounce it in Ancient Egyptian language. Nobody knows how the language sounded. No CD or audio tapes were left behind. How it is pronounce in Rome would be "Latin" language. The Brits say it differently than the French or the Germans or the Polish. . Remember, this carried on into Britain, "Henry the 8th I am". and in Rome as Caesar never died out instantly and lives on in his salad dressing.
