What I have heard is that rain came down in China so much it flooded the streets under 3 feet of water. AND it is in Nova Scotia and raining pretty good there. August in the Okanagan is the dry month- rains quite often in June & July normally. This year I remember one short shower since Apr27 so essentially nothing this year.

I kind of wonder why there are no fires where war is happening?

Unrealistic. Have you not HEARD OF FLYING EMBERS? After the FIRESTORM of 2003 I was seeing glowing embers of bark off of pine trees land on my rooftop and they were the size of 25 cent pieces and I lived 5 miles away from the edge of the fire. So it just had to land in dry grass and poof it was on fire. - The people of California KNOW IT WAS NOT JEWISH SPACE LASERS. They been there, they experienced the same thing.

It is a brush fire. Brush is low lying, maybe 4 feet in height. So house is within reach.

The land is always worth something and a new town can be built there. It has happened many times before mainly because we are not sitting on a volcano. We are just waiting for the Continental shelf to break off and sink into the sea, then WE HAVE OCEAN FRONT PROPERTIES. @jasonstrong9974

B.C. does not have fire alarm sirens. It is a yearly occurrence because we get lightning strikes. There they got an active volcano.

Last time I was thru Chase there was basically 6 buildings. It has 2 lakes & a river & most of it is irrigated farm land & a steep mountain on one side & scrub brush on the other side. Even a fire would say "not worth the effort as there is nothing there." STILL

Strawbale burns just fine and dandy. You CAN'T get fire insurance on that structure. or flood insurance as the flood waters will wash it away...to the ocean if it is not eaten by the free range cattle snacking on it. Snakes like it and so do insects. I know you are trying to avoid property taxes but they tax the land you LIVE ON . They don't care if it is a castle or a mud brick hut....which won't last after the winter snow melt. Make it out of LEGO. Just another wild idea.
