  1. I can understand both sides here, OpenAI needed to find a business model that would bring them the funds they needed, but they did end up turning over their initial reason to be. What I'm wondering is going for-profit is one thing, but why did they have to go closed-source? Maybe it has to do with who came to save them? "Embrace, Extend, Extinguish".
