@gailainsley6939 Not for a while yet. As long as a man thinks he might be able to smash, they will always be at least somewhat viable.

I'm not sure which is worse; the fact that today's women want perfection out of the box, as you say, or the fact that women of my day invariably would try to change any man they thought was worthy of their time. They always used to do this, starting when the "we're serious" declaration went up the flag pole. First: clothing and or furniture. This is especially true when a woman moved in with a man. Next: vehicles. The motorcycles, the pickups, the snowmobiles, and so on - all gone. After that (or concurrently with everything else), they try to turn the man into their girlfriend. Once they manage to fully emasculate their man, they walk away with cash and prizes, and on to ruin the next poor guy's life.

@gailainsley6939 You're a population of one. You don't represent "most" women.

@scottyhehehe5367 It may be fatalistic, but it's more true than not. What you call fatalism is men facing up to reality, which is 80% of us men are all but invisible to women, when it comes to being prospective partner material. And that may be a low estimate, given that 90% of women are after the guys in the top 5% range.

@consciouswynneconcepts If I heard that "so cute but too nice" line (or others), once, I heard it 50 million times. I gave up in my 20s (I'm 67 now).
