  1. Watch Louis Rossmann for more videos pointing out different kinds of that IRL subscription bullshit in tech. And of course, there's the gaming world and utility software as a service, where you used to buy software on CDs not so long ago and you owned the physical media, could deploy it, were sure it was there. No mandatory internet connection, no software phoning home, no vendor killswitches. Get physical media, people. Make backups whenever you can. And, for crying out loud, we also need rental services for items we rarely use. Time to stop this subscription craziness by not subscribing to it and looking for alternatives.
