  1. I'm a 37 year old autistic trans woman diagnosed in high school (2004, at 18); also got suspicions of ADHD and I'd go for a diagnosis but can't afford it. While watching YT certainly doesn't cause autism, it may lead to self-discovery and more people seeking diagnosis and support. Back in the '80s...2000s the social awareness was way lower, people just couldn't figure out themselves and their closed ones, lived in shame or perpetuated violence out of misunderstanding. I hope those days are gone never to come back. Neurodiversity is whole humanity combined, both neurodivergent and neurotypical people. And there is a vast diversity in the neurodivergent population, it's not just autistic and ADHD people. And don't even get me on the Autism Spooks or those medicalists... The topic is indeed controversial and has lately become political.
