  1. People will not be willing to take on the responsibility of giving birth to kids and bringing them up if they don't have guaranteed economic and social safety. Unstable job and housing market, commodity prices flying through the roof (and into space), mediocre healthcare and social services - that's definitely NOT an environment where you'd want to have kids. The "no babies, we'll die out" spiel is peddled by the same people who are opposed to migration, despite the fact that it would replenish the population and boost the economy. Why is that? It's about white supremacy - not just the blatant KKK or neo-nazi militia kind, but the insidious undercurrent in our society, disguised by weasel words and dog whistles.
