  1. Damn cool tech he's got there! Beautiful gear, learning to use it would take years, and getting a grip on how to maintain it - even longer. The saddest thing is that most people who worked with old technology are either retired or have died, documentation is scarce, so the knowledge and skill transfer just gets broken. Tech support from the manufacturer? Forget about it. Younger folks (like me with Monotype hot metal typesetting technology) have to learn the stuff the hard way, but at the end of the day it's very satisfying.
