  1. Self-hate, sounds very familiar to many folks with gender dysphoria. At some point you just can't live with it anymore and it's the turning point where you take the risk, despite all the adversity, hatred and difficulties you're gonna face as an out or even perceived trans person, you come out to yourself and then to others, start transitioning. I know the pain very well. Not only that... I felt like shit many times in my life, faced with the choice between calling it a life and changing something I went for the latter. Nota bene: only a part of trans people experience dysphoria; there are different kinds and intensities of it too - which made me hold myself back from transitioning for almost fifteen years since I realized just because I kept telling myself that my case is "not serious enough" because I didn't really hate what I was born with since my childhood. Times change, for the better IMO.
