  1. I have to thank you for being a real deal leader, someone who sets a shining example of an electronics entrepreneur. As for the "don't share information", well... it might have worked a few decades ago, in the pre-Internet era. It was way easier to keep things to yourself, with hackers few and far in between. Now the hacker community is much better connected and it's no use hiding stuff because someone else will find it out anyway and share it, so why bother? Dave Jones once said that if you want to get anywhere with electronics as a product, forget about patents and make things open source. I'm with him on that one, at least as long as the design we're talking about isn't super niche and meant for very specialized market. But then, the pro electronics also should be repairable, only the pool of servicepeople would be smaller because of the gear's complexity.
