  1. That's a square wave with 33% duty cycle - only pneumatic rather than electrical! I've never ever heard about central pneumatic drive systems for clocks. Real deal steampunk tech. That's genius - though I wonder how it scales with area and length of the network, and how it remains failsafe in case a pipe gets burst somewhere. Electrical systems have that problem solved by relaying or amplification, with no limitation of the covered area, and if a branch goes out, it doesn't affect the whole system.
