  1. Ha. Here in Europe they're indeed fast... just a teeny weeny bit faster than a stovetop kettle on an induction (not ceramic) hob, but the difference may be seconds rather than minutes and the stovetop kettle is small, very reliable and IMO handier, that's why I use it.
