Hinduism.. Buddhism not much different, Both share mostly similar beliefs. If you went back in time to 5th Century BC India and asked a guy if he was a Hindu or Buddhist, He wouldn't know what either of them would have meant..

Well I was born in a Hindu family so I should know what I'm talking about. No one in India associates Yoga with Hinduism, If anything it is seen in the same context as Gymnastics or Aerobics. But true, It does involve certain Hindu elements like Praying, Chanting and the Indian Names that are associated to most stances, But what I mean to say is people rarely think about Religion when talking about Yoga.

Lol.. You should really go read more about origins of Buddhism and similarities it shares with Hinduism - Karma, Re-Incarnation, Soul, Meditation all these are Hindu Principles. Again, There is no Hindu or Buddhist Principles because it was both the same religious belief.

Yoga in an Indian language Sanskrit means "Discipline". There can be different Yoga (Disciplines). Claiming Yoga to be religious is the same as saying Fencing is Christian LOL

Aryan Invasion theory is a Myth ROFL

Yea, I think they got Hinduism confused with Buddhism, Either way they aren't too different so doesn't matter Lol.

No, I'm a Hindu and I can say Yoga was NOT originally a Religious Practice but could include some Religious prayer occasionally. Yoga in it's simplest definitions would mean "Discipline".. Saying Yoga is Religious is the equivalent of saying Kung-Fu has something to do with Buddhism Lol.. Even though it might involve a few Buddhist concepts like Prayer Postures, Names that have something to do with Buddhism etc..

Actually, Buddha probably never would have claimed to have started a new religion, It was meant to be a branch of Hinduism with the same concepts of "Karma", "Re-Incarnation", "Meditation".. All these have their origins in Hinduism. There is nothing called "Hinduism", The same way there is nothing called "Buddhism", These are all terms invented by Westerners. Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism together all share common beliefs and co-existed together for Millennia in Ancient India.
