  1. The Buddhists call it "Wesak". We Hindus call it "Vaishaka Paurnami", A very holy day to worship Vishnu. Many Hindus believe Buddha as an Avatar of Vishnu and even give their children Buddhist names, My parents gave me a Buddhist name, despite us being Hindus.

In Kalki Puran, It is mentioned that Vishnu will be reborn with "Divine Symbols" when he appears as Kalki Avatar. -> Buddha's birth predicted by a Great Hindu Sage - "Asita Muni", Who was known for his Flawles Predictions. He said Vishnu himself will ascend on Earth in an Avatar to King Shuddhodana and Mayadevi. -> Buddha's mother Mayadevi dreamt of 4 Tusked White elephant born to her. In Gita, Krisha clarifies - "Among Heavenly animals, I'm Airavat" (The Heavenly 4 Tusked White Elephant of Devaloka). -> Buddha was once preaching in heavy storm, Suddenly the King of Snakes - Vasuki himself came and shielded him from Rain serving as an umbrella.There is only one person Vasuki serves - Maha Vishnu himself.
