Hindu Scrupture - Mahabharara mentiosn of a Kingdom called "Kambhoja" in 1300 B.C.E or earlier, It was 1 of 16 Kingdoms that made up Arayavarta (Ancient India). Kambhoja soldiers were said to be Heroic and Bravest in all of Aryavarta, They foguht on even after their King died and never surrendered on the Battlefield. Still don't believe me ? Ask any Iranian, Till this day the Iranians call their Kings by the Title - "Kambuziya".
