You see Buddhism never was a Majority religion anytime in History, Even in Ancient times it was only a Minority religion. This is the reason even Ashoka built Hindu temples, He couldn't impose Buddhism on everyone by force. There is a Dirty Kerala Communist narrative that Hindus were somehow responsible for Buddhism disappearing from India, Any Fools that speak such nonsense only has to read works of Chinese Buddhist monks and Travellers like Fa Hien and Hieun Tsang who have said Hindus and Buddhists have co-existed like Milk and Honey, Everywhere in India. They both stayed in India for 10 Years and spend much of their Lifetime writing about History of India.
