Japan has never been a part of China. China tried invading Japan 2 times - Both of the times they lost, Mostly because the weather was against them and sunk more than half of the ships that sailed to Japan. Japanese take pride because of this saying their "God of Wind" protected Japan. Those Mongol armies (China under Mongol rule) who landed in Japan, were decimated by Japanese Samurai !!! Samurai were really badass in history, They defeated the Mongols, Who were supposedly un-defeated in whole of Asia !!!
