  3. Chandra Gupta Maurya was himself a Shudra. He was picked and groomed to be King by Chanakya (A Brahmin). That should put an end to anyone who have prejudices against Brahmins or Caste system. It was an era where Caste was a Functional order of the Society, People were no doubt discriminated but not in ways that we think of today. Their access was limited. Shudra were not allowed inside cities and lived in settlements of their own. Vasiyas were only to be involved in Farmland. Brahmins were not allowed to have money and were supposed to beg for food. Kshatriyas were not to engage in other things except Ruling the Kingdom and being involved in Warfare. It was a System that worked perfectly til Islamic Invaders came and messed it up by introducing Slavery, Racism.. etc which were Western Concepts followed by Arabs and Europeans.

  9. Fun Fact : Ashoka continued to worship Hindu Gods and built Shiva temples in 4 corners of India (One in each Direction). This was after he had embraced Buddhism. Commie Historians who want to always pit Hindus against Buddhists will never tell you this. This is mentioned by Kalhana, Court Poet of Lohara Dynasty which ruled Kashmir in 11th Century in his Historical Account called "Rajatarangini" which records History of Kings of Ancient India. How was this relevant to his Accounts ? Because Ashoka had built a Shiva Temple in Kashmir which was thriving during Kalhana's days, This was before Turkish invasions of Kashmir which brought Islam, Wiping out all these Records, Local Culture and History.

There is no mention of Discrimination against them, They were probably just Tribals or Outsiders that had to earn their Living and lived isolated from rest of Community.   23. What you fail to mention is Buddhists were never in Majority in all of India. Most Buddhists lived in Hindu Kingdoms, Buddhist Temples, Art, Paintings were all Patronized by Hindu Kings. Do you know the 2 of Greatest Buddhist Universities like Nalanda and Vikramasheela was patronized by Hindu Kings ? Yet they only allowed Buddhists to work in there. Such is the Co0exisence between Hindus and Buddhist for Centuries, I would say it was more like how Christians and Jews co-existed in Jerusalem.

  24. That's not the case, Arabs may have been Poor and Primitive at first. But they captured much of Africa, Middle East and Persia and soon borrowed other people's Culture and Ideas. This made them Rich and Prosperous. You should think about it from the perspective of Trade. Arabs were the Middle-men who held an Important place in Trade. They controlled the Trade routes of Silk Road from Asia to Europe. So even Indian Kings and Chinese Kings would have to at-least "Pretend" that Arab Kings were Great and praise them, Even if they knew that was not the case. Otherwise, They wouldn't sell their Goods. Its the same way no Nation in the world today wants to be an enemy of Saudis - Because of their Oil. Back then, Control over Trade Routes connecting Europe and Asia was like "Oil". In the 9th Century, Influence of Arabs was huge in Middle east, Europe and Africa. Arab and Persian Philosophers had gained Monopoly over Medicine, Science, Arts and Warfare. So it was a time when Europe and Arabs were Superior to Chinese and Indians and it was beginning to show. Why ? Because of advent in Gunpowder, Cannons, Guns, Chain Mail, Damascus Steel and Trade Routes. You should look at this Video from this Perspective.

Whatever we know of Ancient India (Before 300 A.D) is preserved in our Poems, Epics, Religions, Culture, Myths and Folklore. Ancient India was a completely different place compared to Medieval India which came under Invasions of Foreigners ever since 300 A.D (Sacking of Rome in the West), A Catastrophic event which led to rise of Barbarians around the world like Huns, Arabs and Mongols who invaded Persia, India and China, The 3 Known Major Civilizations of that Era. None of the Ancient Indian Architecture (Before 300 A.D) have survived, Unlike Egyptians who have Pyramids or Celts who have Stonehenge or Chinese who have the Great Wall.

There are 4 Kinds of Burials mentioned in Mahabharata by Bheeshma to Yudhistira while teaching him "Dharma" before he dies on the bed of arrows - Burials based on 4 elements of Nature - Earth, Fire, Water and Aakasha. Examples of each one : Sage Trishanku buried in Aakasha, Rama offered himself to Ocean, Sita offered herself to Earth, Fire Burials are the normal ones practices by Hindus today.

  38. Vaisyas were Farming Class or Peasants. As you see here it mentions Vaisyas as Kings. So back during that time Men from Farming Community assumed the role of Kings. There are also instances in Past of Chandra Gupta (A Slave) becoming King. So the Caste system wasn't so rigid as its Modern day equivalent that people have made it out to be.

  41. Nope, This is the age of Hindu Golden Ages - Gupta Era where Buddhist influence was minimal. Buddhism was restricted to few regions in North India. Buddhists always were small minority in India, Not exceeding more than 5%. Infact Hindu Kingdoms funded and kept Buddhist Religon alive by helping build Stupa and Libraries. HIndu Kingdoms like Rashtrakuta, Chalukya, Parmara, Lauhitya, Pala gave huge donations to construction of Buddhist Cave Art like Ellora and maintaining Nalanda University.

A Wife's Kingdom was considered the same as her Husband's. So Afghanistan was part of Ancient India. But in this video, During Era of Alexander, India had lost Afghanistan to Invasion of Shaka (Scythians) from Central Asia and Persians (Rise of Persian Empire around this time). After Alexander left India, Maurya Empire re-conquered these areas of Sindh (Pakistan) and Gandhara (Afghanistan). It also included Sri Lanka (Sinhala) and Myanmar (Champa).
