This isn’t just a sweet; it’s prasadam, a sacred offering to the divine. Accountability is non-negotiable in a situation like this. If the laddoo has been adulterated with substances that go against Hindu religious beliefs, such as beef tallow, then the outrage is justified. We cannot allow the sacred to be desecrated under any circumstances. Incidents like the adulteration of Tirupati laddoo highlight a deeper issue: the inefficiency and lack of accountability in temple administration due to government control. If temples were managed by the very devotees and communities who hold them sacred, we would see more reverence, transparency, and diligence in maintaining these institutions.
