  2. Yes, Becaue they use the word - Partners, Not Couple. Homosexual relationships are alerady legal in India. They just cant get married.

  3. Most people don't realize that UCC now favours LGBTQ Communtiy. Till now,Same Sex Relationship had no way of codification or recognition from the Govt since Same sex marriage is not allowed in India, Although Same sex relationship is legal. Now, instead of marriage, Live-in relatiionship count as marriage for Same sex couples, Opening new opportunities for them. As a Gay person, Now if you apply for Loan or Property Rights related to your spouse, Perhaps now you can opt for "Live-in Relationship" option, Instead of declaration of Marriage.

  4. Beacuse existing Laws do not include Live-in relationship, They are British era Laws. Based on Live-in relationship, Govt can add a new set of amendments and Constitutional Laws.
